Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado has told CNN that the US government is preparing for a democratic transition of power in her native Venezuela. Speaking after receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Machado said she stands ready to step up as Venezuela’s Vice President as the country enters this “new and challenging era.”
